One year check-up

So after canceling her first appointment due to snowy weather, we finally made it to Cora's one year check-up. She picked up a pretty sticker in the lobby and held it for most of the exam. She did not try to put it in her mouth even once. Now that is a milestone to be happy about! Cora tipped the scales at 19 lbs and measured in at 30 inches. That means that in a year she has added over 10.5 lbs and 9 inches. The doctor said that she was tall and lean with great muscle development.

Cora showed off for the doctor a bit by saying 'hi', 'bye-bye' and pointing to her ears when the doctor asked her if it was okay if she could check Cora's ears. She also thought it would be a fun game to drop everything within reach down the backside of the examination table. What a fun age.

As always, Cora was not thrilled to get her shots but seems to be in good spirits tonight. Cora has a new favorite food that we had for dessert: Clementines. She signs 'apple' to ask for them. Even after a big dinner, she can polish off two of them. The relish with which she eats them is quite amusing and a little noisy.
