Uncle Francis got himself the new Google phone complete with applications, including 'fur' and the 'toddler lock'. 'Fur' enables you to pet the furry screen which makes the phone vibrate and purr. But, if toddler get a hold of it, she can press a few random keys and suddenly be calling someone. So, what's a parent to do but get the playful '
Toddler Lock' application:
"Random colorful shapes and sounds are seen and heard on the screen and touching/pressing the screen and buttons triggers more of the same. The “Lock” part of the name derives from the applications refusal to do ANYTHING besides act as a toy unless 3 specific keyboard buttons are pressed in unison."
Does the iPhone or Blackberry have something like this?

There's a program you can download for your computer called "Baby Smash" that's the same thing. The kid can bang on the keyboard all they want and shapes and colors pop up along with the letters of the alphabet. We had it for Ella - but should install it on a computer we actually use. And like that app, there was a three key combination to get out of it.
I love the Cora movies - very well done!
I betcha Jon would be more than happy to find out if the iPhone has a similar application... If I only had an iPhone. Or an Andriod phone...
